The narrow horse-drawn tramway has long since been insufficient to connect the Phoenix smelter with the Pörtingsiepen mine and the cement factory and to transport the material. A proper railroad from Kupferdreh to the quarries and ore mines would be appropriate. This would kill several birds with one stone. And I suggest taking a break at the idyllically situated Haus Scheppen!
